Kaboom!

OMG. I did something I never thought I would do. I completely biffed it on a treadmill at the gym yesterday. But, it wasn't cuz I was clumsy, or as Mike calls it "went to the Aggie school of walking".  Nono, a complete outside force was to blame. For the first 30 minutes I was on the elliptical. Usually I tend to have a higher heart rate without as much effort on there. However, it was like I was in water or something. I just couldn't get moving. So, I switched to the treadmill. I usually do move between treadmill & elliptical, but my goal yesterday was all elliptical. Oh well, it's about the quality of the workout, right? So, I hit a treadmill, and then realize it's kinda broken cuz it wants me to hit a button every minute to remind it I'm actually there. There's plenty of others open so I go to another one. Then I realize that one is completely unplugged. Then, on the the third and final one. One problem. I didn't see that it was on. I forgot to mention I was in the cardio cinema, so it's DARK. So, I attempt to walk up to the panel and start my thing but instead I smash down on my knee/shin/elbow. A couple of guys come running up cuz I had to have looked out of it. And my friend who was in the front of the cinema finally realized it was me that made all that noise, so she came running too. Talk about embarrassing. Thank gawd it is so dark in there, cuz I can guarantee that I was as bright red as an heirloom tomato. My friend Erika makes sure it's stopped and I do manage to get on it and start up the rest of my workout. I can tell I've done something to my knee though, but I just keep going. After we finished, I make sure my pants aren't torn -- they weren't. Then I rolled up my pants and day-amn, my knee looks like raw ground beef. There's another bit of skin down my shin that's raw, and I already have 2 bruises that popped up on my other leg. This morning I noticed my elbow is also skinned and bruised.

I thought I would share my misery, so I quit dwelling on it and not want to go back to the gym or something. Tonight, Erika and I are doing the Body Flow class then following that up with Body Combat. I've never done either class, so this should be interesting.
